Patricia Jones won the IPhone 6 in the Dollars for Scholars fundraising campaign sponsored by the Lufkin ISD Education Foundation. Donated by Best Buy of Lufkin, the IPhone was presented to Patricia by board president, Becca Chance . Patricia’s name was randomly drawn from all the Dollars for Scholars contributors who had donated money for every touchdown the Panthers football team scored at home games. Patricia said she was thrilled to receive such a wonderful prize and overly glad her friend had challenged her to make a pledge. The Dollars for Scholars campaign raised money to help fund innovative teaching grants which will be awarded in mid-December.
